In 2003, she earned a Licentiate degree in 'Ethnology', with Education Sciences and Psychology as secondary subjects, from the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences at the University of Neuchâtel. She is a member of the Association of Ticino Psychologists (ATP) and the Swiss Federation of Psychologists (FSP). Subsequently, in 2007, she obtained the equivalence of a Licentiate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Geneva. Her first specialization was in the intercultural field, which allowed her to develop a broad perspective on the individual, their origins, and socio-cultural issues. In addition to working with children in both recreational and educational settings, she has had the opportunity to work with adolescents and adults abroad. Having always been interested in the field of ethnopsychiatry, she deepened her knowledge through experiences with the 'Appartenances' association in Lausanne, working as an educator in a center for asylum seekers and as a French teacher for foreign women.
Upon returning to Ticino, she dedicated herself to the psycho-pedagogical field, working first in cantonal special education schools with moderate-to-severe cases (children on the autism spectrum, developmental disorders) and later in a residential home for adolescents in Lugano (Fondazione Amilcare). For nearly ten years, she has been a remedial teacher in middle schools and obtained her Master’s degree in this field in 2014, specializing in psychological support within the school environment and in learning and cognitive disorders.
